Red Entrance Coir rubber edge matting is the preferred choice for customers who appreciate a more traditional entrance mat. Obtained from coconut husks, Coir is a natural product that disagrees with the British weather and works best when either fully or partially protected.

The ramped edge has a width of 5.5cm and this will be applied to each side of the mat.

The overall size will include the ramped edge and the matting.

Coir matting is the traditional and extremely effective barrier matting made from natural coconut fibres to give a very good level of dirt and moisture removal. Coir matting is suitable for indoor use or in a covered outdoor porch area that isn’t exposed to the elements.

Available up to 200cm wide, our Coir has a 17mm thickness for more effective scraping properties. Priced per running metre with a maximum length of 1200cm, it is readily available to protect the entrance areas of homes and offices from unwanted debris and soiling. Coir matting as well as being very hardwearing is very easy to maintain and keep clean by simply vacuuming or lifting the mat and shaking the trapped dirt off.

Please note as this product is made using natural fibres some colour variation can occur – if you are unsure, please contact us for a sample.

Products will be cut to our normal manufacturing tolerances.

While Coir Matting is suitable for covered outdoor areas, it is not recommended for fully exposed outdoor areas where it may be constantly exposed to rain or direct sunlight. Extended exposure to moisture or UV rays can affect its longevity. In such cases, it's advisable to use Coir Matting in covered or sheltered entrances.

Vacuum the mat regularly to remove debris that has been deposited on the mat.

Shedding is normal in the initial month of use. During this period, simply brush or gently shake the mat.

To prolong the life of your doormat do not place it in direct sunlight or where it will remain wet for any length of time.

Avoid using chemicals to clean this product as it may stain the natural coconut fibres.

If the mat becomes wet allow to air/dry naturally.

Our carriage service is classed as a next working day service, but please allow 48 hours for us to make and dispatch goods as most of our items are of a bespoke nature.

Goods will need to be signed for upon delivery, so if a work address is more suited please inform us, as re-delivery charges may apply.

Orders requiring next day delivery must be received by 2pm - please note we are unable to provide next day delivery on any order containing edge binding. We cannot be held responsible for any delays in carriage times. Any next day orders placed after 2pm on a Friday will be dispatched on the next working day for delivery the following day (normally dispatched Monday for delivery Tuesday, unless it is a national holiday).

Delivery times are under normal working conditions and may take slightly longer during busier periods. We will endeavour to meet your delivery requirements as best we can. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We are able to deliver outside the U.K. but prices vary depending upon order size and delivery location - please contact Grimeford Mill for more details.

Mainland UK deliveries are made by couriers, who require a signature upon delivery or instructions of where to leave a parcel. Should there not be anybody available to sign for the parcel, a card will be posted with contact details of how to re-arrange a delivery. The goods will be attempted to be delivered twice before being returned to us. Should goods be returned to us, you could be liable to pay a re-delivery charge for goods. There is no extra charge for arranging delivery to a work address if this is more convenient, but please ensure that you inform us of this at the time of placing your order. Once goods have been dispatched we are unable to re-route the delivery to an alternative address.
