Swimming pools re-opening on 12th April 2021
Make sure you get your pool mat orders in early.
After what seems like an eternity to many, swimming pools, along with leisure centres and gyms, have been given the green light to re-open on Monday 12th April.
After being closed for more than three months, indoor pools can open their doors again, 2 weeks after outdoor swimming pools were allowed to welcome customers back. However, it is still only a partial lifting of the restrictions and just stage 2 of the roadmap outlined by the government. Clubs will also be able to resume swimming training indoors for under 18s but for the over 18s, they will have to wait a bit longer and will not be permitted to join in until stage 3 of the roadmap, which is currently scheduled for Monday 17th May 2021.
Whilst we are desperate to get back into the pool, at least we have a confirmed opening date and something to look forward to. We are also expecting a surge in business enquiries and sales for our range of swimming pool mats, spa mats and changing room matting as pools get ready to welcome their customers back into the water. Therefore, we are urging our customers to get their orders in early as we anticipate a last-minute rush for new mats following months of little use and possibly lack of general maintenance.
We currently have plenty of pool mats in stock, including grey, navy blue, and light blue wet walk swimming pool matting, all in 15 different size options. These are all non-slip PVC wet area safety mats, ideally suited for any wet walk recreation environment including poolside areas and showering areas, changing rooms and locker rooms.
All these products can be purchased in various colours, sizes, and quantities from our website, but if you need any further assistance, call our sales team at Commercial Matting on (+44) 01772 330051.
